Scraper API

What is a Scraper API?
A scraper API is a managed service that returns structured data from target websites through a simple API call, so that engineering teams do not have to build and operate scraping infrastructure themselves. You request a product URL or search term; the API handles proxies, browser rendering, anti-bot challenges, and parsing, and responds with clean JSON.

Scraper APIs are the middle ground between building an in-house scraping stack (maximum control, maximum maintenance) and buying finished datasets (zero maintenance, less flexibility). They suit teams that want live, on-demand data — for example, checking a competitor's price at checkout time or enriching an internal tool.

Evaluation criteria include success rate on JavaScript-heavy sites, response latency, per-site parsers versus generic HTML, geographic targeting, and cost per thousand requests.
